Food, food, food! This place is like my family during the holidays.

In St Paul, Sweeney's patio is an establishment. The Liffey has a new patio and a $10 lunch. In Mpls, I like pizza from Psycho Suzi's or a burger from Town Hall, both outside of course.

Jpb recommends the "hidden patio" at Moscow on the Hill in Saint Paul. Unique. The patio at nearby La Grolla is also open.

Psycho Suzi's has the best onion rings in the area, State Fair be damned.
And you can't beat the patio at Tin Fish for people watching.

In St Paul, the patio at WA Frost is leafy and romantic. The Vintage also has a lovely patio and the food is tragically underrated. In Minneapolis, I like the patio at Black Forest. That is, I used to like it--I haven't been there in years. Anyone know if it's still there and still nice?
I was by the Black Forest the other day and the patio still appeared to be there, and it did look quite nice. Never eaten there, but walking past piqued my interest.

Black Forest still has a good patio, but I can't understand the appeal of eating heavy duty German food in the hot sun...It's Greek To Me, however -- that one I get. Ouzo and sun, how can it get better?

Still nice, except filled with all the smokers who are in exile from the bar.
How about the new Longfellow Grill? I've eaten there, but not since it's been nice out. Sure seems like it would be nice.

Ate at the patio at Jackeenos on Friday. It was quite pleasant. Their cheesy bread is excellent, by the way.

We've been grilling at home non-stop. Tuna steaks with Orange soy ginger or Wasbi lime marinade. Lots of wine.
I love spring.

For smokers out there... there's no smoking permitted in the Black Forest Inn's patio.

Town Hall is nice if you don't mind looking at Frat boys at Sgt Prestons and listening to motorcycles zip past on their way to 35.

Is Jakeeno's good? I live near there and drive by a couple times a day but never see anyone in there.
Though the service can be spotty, I will always love the outdoor (and indoor) area at Pracna. I love the view, so anything on St. Anthony Main is good for me. Heck, I'm so old, I remember 25 cent bottled beer on the patio at Mississippi Live.
The patio at Joe's Garage is swell, too...had my groom's dinner there, but couldn't use the patio because it was too darn cold at the time.

Muffuletta in St. Paul has a nice deck, but I don't like the scene. I prefer Psycho Suzi's.

I love Solera. They don't open the rooftop until the 30th, though.

I think Jakeenos is excellent. Their thin crust pizza is delicious.

Seward Luce, because it's right by my apartment. Town Hall Brewery, because they have great beer and a perfect location for people watching.

I like Town Hall too. Can't beat their beer outside. On the St. Paul side Great Waters has the best brew with a good patio. The best view over there goes to the Liffey.

This weather sucks.
Just kidding. Trying to toughen up my image with a little more sass. The lurkers say I'm too happy. One called me "Mr. Sunshine."
I like eating outside at the Nicollet Mall Chipotle. Great people watching from there. The Target employees provide a nightly summertime fashinon show.
the lawn in front of the alumni building at the U is great. get a sub and sack out.

even better, get one of the $4.95 lunch specials from Village Wok and sack out
»» Submitted by Mike at 4:38 PM on April 17
the sacking out is the most important part. you could even get bibim bop from the korean place and take it with you if that's your thing
»» Submitted by Dudeman at 4:55 PM on April 17
Where's there a Korean place on campus?
»» Submitted by »»» richg at 4:58 PM on April 17
Right next to the Oak Street Cinema. It used to be a falafel place. Actually, there's another one just north of Stub and Herb's but I hear it's not so good.
»» Submitted by Dudeman at 5:01 PM on April 17
kumok's next to stub n' herbs for good korean/haircut.

The fish and chip appetizer at the Local. Get there before 3:30 when the Target building eats the sun.

I second Pracna and Town Hall.

Duvel and tapenade on the Muddy Pig patio during the weekend.
Half priced Sangria and tapas on the El Meson paito weeknights.

For breakfast/brunch/lunch - Seward Community Cafe, for sure. And I do miss the Triple Rock patio (though I realize the expansion with the stage is a worthy replacement).

If the cook shows up you can have a burger.... but sometimes he is MIA and like the rest of the drunks there you can live on beer. They always have beer.

I prefer the scenery of the Loring Pasta Bar. Jason Maclean has pulled it off again...a place for aging fatties like myself to go and drink and think they're still blending in...you know, as in blending in as a professor.

From the outdoor tables at Cafe Bicko, (great pizza/beer-wine), at 45th & France, you can watch all the skinny blond Edina women in their Lexus and MB SUV's come and go all day at the adjacent hair cutters, nail salon and tanning joint!
