Low in Europe (And Duluth)

Normally this ends up in the calendar to the right, but this is a late addition. The film Low in Europe, a documentary that follows Low on a string of tour dates in Germany and the UK, screens tonight at the Varsity Theater. Here's a trailer. There are two screenings, 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., and admission is only $1. And this weekend in Duluth, the Eyes + Hands Festival will see the unveiling of Al Sparhawk's secretive new arena rock power trio, The Retribution Gospel Choir.

He's starting a new band? What's up with that? Is Low gone for good?

I'm sure Low isn't gone for good. Alan may be having mental health issues, but he's not stupid -- the Low brand is what feeds his two kids.
