Red, White, and Zubaz
Posted May 13, 2008
The official line of Republican National Convention clothing is out and it includes Zubaz. From the article
One sky-blue t-shirt's screenprint is a colorful drawing of the St. Paul skyline with a little airplane toting a "MSP 2008" sign. On another shirt, a donkey and an elephant hold a communal sign reading "Let's Party!"
Hey, I know I'll sleep better knowing our politicians are in full party mode. Mission Accomplished. Will you be wearing Freedom Zubas?

I'm still a little shocked the official pants aren't golden parachute pants.

That's about enough publicity for them, thank you.
We need Girbauds to make a comeback, if anything. Not just the lame "Brand X" jeans, but the regular kind. That once-outrageous $50-70 price isn't so insane anymore. I loved the denim, I loved the deep pockets, but I hated that turned over seam that always shredded before the jeans weren't wearable.

Oh, please. That's so 2000 convention.
Honestly, have some class, JACC! It's 2008!

I just noticed the poor child in the Strib photo doesn't even have shoes on.
That's so the poor child can run away faster from the people who dressed him like that.
My take on this: Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Um, that's 1988 election. I wore parachute pants. Parachute pants were a friend of mine. Madam, you are no parachute pants.
Think double entendre my friends, double entendre.

Fun with Strib's "featured comment" feature here.
Earlier today I had "Um / Zubas?!?!" as the featured comment and it was amazing.
I keep refreshing but only get the same "get a grip" comment. How does the featured comment system work, anyway? It should be the highest-rated comment, if you ask me, rather thank completely random.
thank = than
Was there more than one comment?
Ed, over at the Deets did a post about the new featured comment feature not too long ago.

The Deets focus was on the featured comment for one of the stories that ran that day was the only comment - someone calling someone else a douchebag.
I do believe I heard that the featured comment is tied to how many views it brings to the comment section. Or... I could just be making that up.

Word on the street (MLK Blvd) is that the Dems are debuting Cross Colors gear for their convention.
It's going to be awesome.
