except for a couple of those corners with good landscaping, most of hennepin ave s is a mess. the sidewalks are entirely too narrow for the sort of public life it strives to have.
It needs to take a lane of traffic on either side to widen the sidewalk and add benches and proper sets of trees along the entire length, even in front of commercial spaces.

They ought to fix the part of the street just below Franklin Avenue. Driving there is like driving in parts of bombed-out Baghdad.
