So you've seen those billboards around town urging you to "connect the dots?" Another mysterious viral ad, right? Well, the Strib should be a little more clandestine on their own website -- a "connect the dots" teaser can be found on their homepage. It appears "connect the dots" is the 2005 redesign teaser.
The name of the file-- the URL-- includes the phrase "redesign2005teaser." Hence my ingenius conclusion.
Bits & Pieces schtick? Bits & Pieces is an artwork by Lawrence Weiner. Maybe you mean Where _______ Meets _______.
Yeah well, that "artwork" got appropriated into a catchphrase for everything the Walker did, including making it the first words on the (old) website. One man's art is another man's marketing budget... or at the very least, a slogan.
