High: 27° / Low: 16° — Dude Weather Subscribe to Secrets Minneapolis / St. Paul
Have you ever noticed how many traffic cams the DOT has? Maybe if someone pointed them up we can track the blimp across the sky. Update: from the comments comes Minneapolis Surveillance Camera Project (who knew?!), which has a detailed map of public and private surveillance cams downtown.
Rex- Either the traffic you just gave them caused their server to stall (maybe it's just stop and go) or they took the site down to adjust the cameras.
Weird, I've noticed on three occasions now that the DOT site goes down at night. I can't even imagine what the rationale behind this is. I bet when people read this in the morn, it'll be back though.
I blame that fucking blimp!
It would be completely ironic if the ad on the blimp turned out to be something that reduces traffic, because people have been slowing down on the highway (even more) to look at it. As for DOT, maybe it goes down so they can do something a little...sinister on the highway.
Regarding the Blimp, I thought of the Taxpayers League of Minnesota and stadiums right away. However, based on this press release, it looks like it's them campaigning against tobacco user fees . . .
. . . although I just called them and they said "not ours" before I could even finish my sentence. "But if you find out, please let us know!"
