MNSpeak: Talk

Goodbye Rex?

Rumor? Fimoculous' Rex to move to WA to work for Microsoft on internet news technologies? Say it isn't so. Rex, thanks for everything you've given to Mpls and blogs in general.

I meant to say something here first, but I got scooped on my own announcement. If you're wondering, I'm confident we'll find a way to keep MNspeak going.

I think you have been saying it.. even an idiot like me can get the hint.

And let me be the first to say and speaking from experience, I really hope the pay is good because working for Microsoft is really, really, bad for the soul and creativity.

/cliche but true

Good luck to you my friend!

You leaving this site blows. Congrats anyway, and know that you'll be missed by people who don't even know you. Creepy and cool all at the same time!

Rex -- Is the scooter (not Libby) making the trip to Redmond?

Rex.. this site has been such a gift to those of us who care about the Twin Cities... and new media. We'll miss you immensely! And someone better take this thing over!!!

By rex! G-r-e-a-t website and I hope it keeps going. Local news is hard to find in the Twin Cities and you've done a great job of bringing it all together and making it accessible. Best of luck at satan...I mean, Microsoft.

Noooooooo...............

!!

this site is a daily stop for me to see what's up in the cities ... thanks for all your great work!

This makes me sad!

Don't call them the Evil Empire anymore once you're on the payroll, and for God's sake don't blog about work. MS totally dooced my brother.

NOW IS THE TIME FOR A MINNESOTA STORIES HOSTILE TAKEOVER OF MNSPEAK.COM

if only i could afford it.
*sigh*
you set the tone, you set the standard, you paved the way.
i shall always be the monkey on top, squealing and pointing at the cool thing you made. ook! ook!

Scooped!!

Congratulations Rex. New opportunities are always exciting.

I really hope this site can continue without you here. It's been the best local media site, and something we really needed.

I see WASpeak.com is available.

I heard the news last night from a friend--sad! I mean, congrats and all but...Microsoft? I can't blame you for moving to the Seattle area, but...Microsoft??

May ye change it from the inside.

Thanks for mnspeak.com!

Paying Your Neighbor's Utility Bill in Minneapolis

Aaron points out that it is ridiculously easy to look up someone else's utility bills online here in the Twin Cities, and pay them, if you like. But is this a bug or a feature? After all, utility bills are public information. Aaron does a little digg…
